the driveline rehab advantage plan
The complete rehab and performance system for baseball players that gets you back throwing pain-free and better than ever.
Recovering from a throwing injury doesn't have to mean months of generic PT, guesswork, and hoping you come back the same. The Driveline Rehab Advantage Plan is the only rehab system that combines elite physical therapy, performance training, and data-driven return to throw all under one roof.
Here's What's Broken About Traditional PT
You tore your UCL. Maybe your labrum. Or it's your rotator cuff. You're shut down for months, terrified you'll never throw the same again.
So you do what everyone tells you to do: you go to physical therapy.
And this is what happens:
This sucks, and we know we can do so much better
Get Everything You Need To Recover From Your Injury AND Come Back Better…Here’s How it works and everything you get
The Driveline Rehab Advantage Plan is the complete system college and pro baseball players use to recover from serious throwing injuries, not just pain-free, but often throwing harder than before.
book your free consultation
We'll meet via phone, Zoom, or in-person at our Kent, WA or Tampa, FL location. We'll discuss your injury, surgery history, timeline, and goals. We'll make sure you're a good fit and answer every question you have.
Choose your tier
All athletes get a high quality rehab and performance program. The only difference is how much direct 1-on-1 PT time you want and need based on your specific condition:
$155/week – 1 session (45 min) + full program + facility access
$230/week – 2-3 sessions (45 or 30 min) + full program + facility access
$300/week – 3 sessions (45 min) + full program + facility access
You can adjust your tier anytime based on your needs and budget.
We Build Your Individualized Plan
You'll get a customized rehab protocol and performance program designed around your specific injury, timeline, and goals. Everything is available through your phone with video demos and detailed instructions.
You'll follow your program daily - some days with us in-person for PT sessions, other days training on your own with the full program we've built. You're never guessing what to do.
Track Your Progress With Objective Testing
Most rehab protocols clear you based on time alone. You hit week 12, so you're "good to go." We don't work that way. We use real data to measure your recovery through tools like FlexPro Grip, shoulder dynamometry, capacity tests, and force plate assessments. These objective markers give us clear, measurable criteria to know when you're truly ready to move to the return to sport phase.
We're not guessing based on how you feel on one particular day or what the calendar says. We track trends, hit benchmarks, and ensure your body has proven it's prepared for the demands of throwing again. You don't move forward until you're ready.
confidently begin your return to throw program
Once you're ready, your PT sessions become throwing coaching sessions. We refine your mechanics, progress your velocity safely, and make sure you're moving efficiently while managing your overall workload accumulation to mitigate unnecessary fatigue and reduce setbacks.
Depending on your injury, most athletes complete rehab in 8-24 weeks. Return to throw typically takes a similar timeline. You'll know exactly where you are in the process at every step.
Graduate Rehab & Return to Competition
By the time you complete your return to throw protocol, you'll be fully prepared to go out their and compete. You can return to your team stronger, more durable, and throwing with confidence. Or, if you want to keep developing, transition to being a Driveline Trainee and access advanced training tools like motion capture, pitch design, and data-driven programming to continue improving your performance.
We’ve rehabbed pro’s, amateurs & everyone in between…Here’s what they say about their experience
-

Michael Rucker - MLB RHP
After finishing early rehab from Tommy John surgery, I knew I needed a place that went beyond the basics. Athletic Potential built a fully customized return-to-throw plan and continued rehab/performance program around my needs. The process was collaborative from start to finish, and I suprassed my goal, with my fastball back to 96 mph with my offspeed and breaking balls looking sharp. They’ve put me in the best position to pursue a contract in free agency
-

Casey Sadler - Mariners RHP
The expertise and personalized approach provided were pivotal during a critical moment in my career. The tailored rehab strategies and unwavering support not only addressed my specific deficits but also bolstered my confidence, guiding me through a challenging recovery. The commitment and innovative techniques stood out when traditional methods fell short.
-

Josh Hejka - Minor League RHP
I had the privilege of rehabbing from Tommy John surgery with Athletic Potential. The rehab process was rigorously data-driven and helped ensure I was on-track and maximizing my time in rehab. What truly set them apart was the holistic approach. each phase was fine tuned for both my injury and my body. I came out stronger than I have every been. The combination of excellent rehab, strength work and custom return to throw helped me get back to the minor leagues hitting velocity PRs in my first year back.
-

Nick Fanti - Minor League LHP
Athletic Potential helped me tremendously on my road to recovery. Being that it was my 3rd surgery on my arm, I knew I had to make a change and work with someone who understood the throwing program aspect just as much as the rehab side. They were very responsive to how I was feeling each day and used data to help inform any changes to my plan. It gave me a sense of comfort that any time I had things flare up or not feel the best, they would take the time to talk through it with me and provide a plan on how to move past it.
-

Parker Almeida - College LHP
My experience with Athletic Potential was amazing. They were very knowledgeable about the full process and cared about my success. They were flexible to my individual needs and mad getting through the rehab process much more enjoyable.
-

Kenji Price - College LHP
AP has been awesome to work with the past year as I have been rehabbing from labrum surgery in my throwing shoulder. The programming for my rehab and strength, along with the data driven tools in my return to throw have been essential to how I have been able to progress the way I have. AP would be the first place I would recommend any baseball player going through injury goes to.
-

Carson Ackermann - College RHP
Athletic Potential is a fantastic resource to have as a baseball player. They have a great in depth knowledge of not just the rehab, but how to develop a baseball player as a whole. I spent years battling a bone fracture injury before seeking them out, but they helped me finally return to the game. They would always answer my questions with great detail and helped me understand exactly how we were going to finally get over this hurdle.
-

Kylar Larson - College RH Infielder
I had labrum surgery and knew it was going to be a tough battle to get my shoulder back to 100%. I had tried general PT in my home town first, but it wasn’t enough. Fortunately, I found Athletic Potential and got a more specific baseball approach that helped me regain the strength and throwing confidence in my shoulder and return to the field. Since then, I have been able to play at the college level thanks to their help.
"But What About Insurance?"
We get it. Insurance isn't cheap, and it feels wasteful not to use it.
But here's the truth: if we relied on insurance, we couldn't deliver this program.
Insurance companies would:
Limit you to 1-2 sessions per week and you might run out when it matters most
Restrict what we can bill for (no performance training, no throwing coaching, no return to sport protocols)
This is a premier program at a premier price. If you want to guarantee you come back better than ever, this is how it's done.
We provide superbills so you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Some athletes get partial reimbursement. We can't guarantee yours will, but we'll give you everything you need to try.
Who This Program Is For (And Who It's Not For)
You're a great fit if:
You have a serious injury requiring 8+ weeks of recovery (UCL sprain, hip/shoulder labrum damage, lumbar fracture, rotator cuff pain, or post-surgical like Tommy John)
You're a college, professional, or mature high school athlete (16+)
You have weight room experience, can work semi-independently and follow a structured program
You're willing to invest in yourself and your career
You want to guarantee you come back right and better than before
You're NOT a fit if:
You're expecting insurance to directly cover this (it won't)
You’re young and/or inexperienced in the weight room experience and need a lot of hands-on guidance
You're not willing to do the work 5-6 days per week
You're looking for the cheapest option instead of the best outcome

Let’s say you are on a Tier 2 plan, early post-op Tommy John and are choosing a PT appt structure of 3, 30 minute sessions. Your week would most likely look like this:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday
30 Minute PT + Total Body Lift
Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday
Conditioning, Mobility, and Accessory PT work (Performed independently)
Exact Schedules always vary based on injury type, healing stage, training age, school or team demands, and how many supervised sessions the athlete selects.
-
Yes! Hitters can absolutely do this program. The system is built for any baseball athlete recovering from injury, and the return-to-sport process is tailored to the demands of hitting instead of pitching.
A typical hitter-only progression looks like this:
Two to three weeks of tee work and controlled hitting to confirm tolerance
Structured increases in volume and intent as your shoulder, elbow, trunk, and grip metrics improve
Transition into Driveline hitting groups once you meet movement, power, and tolerance benchmarks
You still receive the same individualized rehab plan, strength programming, objective testing, and daily structure pitchers receive.
If you are a two-way athlete:
You will begin as a hitter and transition into a hitting subscription once hitting is cleared. You will continue working with PT to complete your return-to-throw progression. When you reach the appropriate phase, your hitting subscription can be upgraded to a full two-way membership. -
You are a client of Athletic Potential PT during your rehab and return-to-throw process. All of your physical therapy, testing, programming, and day-to-day guidance come from our team.
Once you complete the appropriate phases and are ready to transition into performance training, you have the option to become a Driveline athlete. That transition only happens when you meet the benchmarks for full hitting or pitching integration, and only if you choose to enroll in their training programs.
In short:
Rehab and return-to-throw = Athletic Potential PT
Performance training after rehab = Driveline (optional)
You work with our team first. When you are ready for more advanced development, you can step directly into Driveline with a clean, tested, and durable foundation.

A superbill is a detailed receipt from a health care provider that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. It is not a claim that we file on your behalf, and it does not guarantee payment, but it gives you everything your insurer needs to review your case.
A superbill typically includes:
Your name and date of service
The provider’s information and credentials
CPT codes for the services performed
ICD-10 diagnosis codes
The amount you paid for each session
You pay us directly for your sessions, and then you can send the superbill to your insurance to see whether they will reimburse you for any portion of your care. Some athletes receive partial reimbursement, others receive none. It depends entirely on your insurance plan.
-
Yes. You can transition into this program even if you already started rehab somewhere else. This is very common, especially for athletes who feel they aren’t progressing fast enough, aren’t receiving baseball-specific care, or aren’t getting the structure required for a safe return to throwing or hitting.
Here’s how the transition works:
We begin with a consultation to review your injury, surgical notes, imaging, and what you’ve done so far.
We assess your current capacity, strength levels, range of motion, and throwing or hitting tolerance.
We rebuild your plan based on where you are today, not where a generic protocol says you “should be.”
We integrate you directly into our rehab and performance structure so you can move forward without losing time.
Whether you’re two weeks in or twelve weeks in, you can still plug into the Driveline Rehab Advantage Plan and follow a cleaner, more precise path back to full performance.
-
You can still do this program even if you live far away or can’t make it into the facility daily. Access to and utilization of the Driveline facility is optional. It’s a bonus perk, not a requirement.
We build the exact same rehab and performance plan for you, but we base your daily training around the equipment and space you have available in your home gym or local gym. The structure, testing, and progression remain the same.
Most athletes in this situation still choose one of the standard tiers and come in one to three times per week for their PT sessions. That schedule is more than enough for us to guide your rehab and return-to-throw or return-to-hit progression.
If you are completely unable to come in consistently on a weekly basis, or unable to come in at all, and you are still located within our state of licensure, we can build a custom plan and price point for a remote-based version of the program. The goal is to make sure you get the same quality of care and the same outcomes, regardless of how often you can be in the building.
If you live out of state, you can still work with us through a fully remote coaching and programming model. While we cannot provide physical therapy across state lines, we can deliver a complete performance, strength, and return-to-throw plan customized to your equipment and schedule.
-
Planned time away is completely normal, and we can adjust your program around it. If you will be out for a short period, we continue building your plan so you can maintain progress while you’re gone, and billing remains the same since your spot in the program is held and your rehab timeline continues.
If you have an extended break that significantly limits your ability to train or attend sessions, let us know in advance. In those cases, we can pause or modify your plan and adjust billing appropriately so you’re paying only for the level of service you can actually use.
-
The timeline depends on your injury, surgery, and current capacity. Most serious injuries require8-24 weeks of structured rehab, followed by 8-30 weeks of return-to-throw or 4-8 weeks of return-to-hit progression. You will always know exactly which phase you’re in, what criteria you’re approaching, and what benchmarks determine your next step.
-
Pain does not automatically mean you’re injured again. Throwing and rehabbing both create normal soreness patterns, especially as workload increases. If discomfort shows up, we assess the pattern, adjust your plan, and modify your workload or exercise selection in real time.
Our goal is to resolve the issue quickly and keep your long-term progression on track. Setbacks are addressed immediately and used as data, not something to panic about. -
You schedule your PT sessions through our team, typically one to three sessions per week depending on your tier. Your strength work, conditioning, and accessory programming are delivered through our app so you always know what to do on independent days. We coordinate scheduling around school, work, team practices, and travel so your program fits cleanly into your life.
-
Yes. Athletes with prior surgeries or incomplete rehab often benefit the most from this system. We begin with a detailed capacity assessment, identify the limiting factors that caused the previous setbacks, and build your plan around objective testing and progressive workload control. Many of our MLB and MiLB clients came to us after stalled rehab elsewhere and returned to competition successfully.
-
In most cases, early supervised rehab begins within one to two weeks after surgery, depending on your surgeon’s protocol. Earlier does not mean more aggressive…early rehab focuses on protecting the repair, restoring motion, reducing swelling, and building the foundation for later strength and throwing phases. We review your surgical notes, speak with your surgeon if needed, and start you at the exact time appropriate for your specific procedure.
-
Yes. Many baseball players have secondary issues such as lumbar pain, hip irritation, or lingering shoulder or forearm problems. We can integrate these into your plan as long as they fall within safe and appropriate scope for your primary rehab timeline. Your program is designed to treat you as a whole athlete, not just as a single body part.
-
Acceptance into this program will be handled case by case. Athletes younger than 16 can absolutely receive the same high-quality rehab through our standard Physical Therapy appointment structure, but training age matters. If they have little or no consistent weight room experience, we may need additional supervision, extra sessions, or a modified structure to ensure they can follow the program safely and effectively. We decide this during the consultation and create the setup that best fits their maturity, experience, and goals.
